Energy foods is helpful because it will give an energy boost. Energy foods is helpful usually before and after you make an effort, but can be eaten anytime during the day.
Below are some steps that will help you to make a choice:
- Take with you complex carbohydrate and low in fat. Complex carbohydrate give you a great boost of energy, and because it contains fibers it will help your digestive system to run smoothly. Complex carbohydrate include energy bars, crackers, beans, whole grain breads, dried and fresh fruits and vegetables.

- Try to eat food with high content in vitamins and minerals. This food will help to complete the process you need for energy. Vitamin C and iron help to fight fatigue and illness. Some food high in Vitamin C include: raw broccoli, green leafy vegetables, berries and small citrus fruits. Some food high in iron include beans, lentils, spinach and beef.
- Avoid to fill you stomach with sugar and other products free of calories or offer little or no nutritional value. This food can give an energy boost for a short time after that you will experience a decrease in energy and fatigue.
