What would be nice to our trips than friends? Sometimes, what we see can surprise us ... we go into another dimension of feeling and feelings because what we see is unique, beautiful and also mysterious phenomenal ...

Some of us have heard these things in stories, but few of us see them live, and few of us have succeeded to take a photo with them!

This article try to unite these phenomena for all to know and recognize them.

These phenomena with a unique and mysterious aura are called "photometeor". Photometeor are optical phenomena created by refraction, reflection, diffraction and interference of light rays of the sun or moon with crystalline water vapor contaminated with dust particles from atmosphere.

Halo

Halo is an arc or a circle of light, slightly colored around the sun or the moon formed by refraction and reflection of light rays in very fine ice crystals in clouds Cirostratus and Cyrus. They announced the change of weather, also know as "red moon"


Corona

Corona consist colored circles around the Sun or the Moon and is produced by diffraction of light by water droplets. It is smaller than the halo circles, more vivid colors and arranged in reverse order, with red on the outside.


Glory

Glory phenomenon represents a color ring formed around its own shadow through light diffraction in the small water droplets in clouds or fog

Rainbow

Concentric arcs formed on a screen of water droplets in the atmosphere when the sun is opposite the screen position. Seven colors of the spectrum, with red on the outside and violet inside.

Mirage

Mirage is generated by images of distant objects that appear as single or multiple right or overturned, enlarged or reduced vertical. Is due to refraction of light through layers of air with different densities.

In picture: The lake you see is not real, it is an inferior mirage.


Shade of the mountains

Occurs immediately after sunrise or before sunset, the face of fantastic image, dark, which is moving rapidly toward us when the sun rises in the sky. Speed is high enough and the phenomenon can be observed due to the shade of the mountains above the valley fog screen.

Ulloa circle

Ulloa circle appears to climber when reached the crest of a mountain after sunrise and look on the west side in the fog which is dissipated, he sees the image surrounded by three colorful circles and a fourth, larger and white.


Light pillar (false sun)

Usually occurs after rain, before sunset as a bright spots on a screen with clouds or water particles that float in the atmosphere. Phenomenon is the sun image projected onto that screen.
