The Incredible Horsetail Fall or the FireFall from Yosemite Park

FireFall

The waterfalls are in generally very spectacular, but the Fire Falls from Yosemite Park is certainly a natural phenomenon unique in the world.

Also called horse tail, the waterfall is one of the most beautiful of the entire North American continent, but it's really special for only two weeks per year. The first fire in Yosemite waterfalls were made by people. Large fires were started on Glacier Peak and the red-hot embers were then pushed to the valley, along the slope of the granite wall, in the evening. It was a great show, regularly repeated before the fire accidentally caused in this way, in the '60s, after which the custom event was stopped.

But this did not mean that Yosemite would remain without a waterfall; on the contrary, people have even found one even more beautiful. When natural conditions are suitable, tourists can enjoy a unique show, during which water turns to fire. During the last two weeks in February, when the sun shines above Yosemite Valley and the water flows down the mountain granite wall, occurs the phenomenon of the illuminated waterfall. Unfortunately, because the clouds and storms are common during winter months and sometimes California has and drought years, Horse Tail Falls Fire can be seen rarely and generally in luck.
