In time water bottles gets a strange odor or taste, usually this happens because it is not washed frequently or stored incorrectly.

To prevent the water bottles to not gets a strange odor or taste, after each use must be washed and taken out and let it air dry completely. Usually the strange odor or taste is created because of depositories in damp and dark places or because they are kept for a long time with liquid inside. Plastic bottles can acquire an unpleasant taste and odor when stored in these a variety of acidic liquid.

If you water bottle gets an unpleasant taste or odor try these methods:

- add teaspoon or bleach into water bottle and fill it with water, then let the bottle to sit at least 20 minutes after that rinse it several times.

- clean the water bottle with dish detergent and water, you can add some real lemon with water in you water bottle and then let the bottle to sit at least 20 minutes.

- always air dry the bottle upright or put them on a rack upside down, do not put the water bottle on a towel (may contain bacteria).

- sometimes you can remove the unpleasant smell and taste from water bottles rising with mouthwash.

- let the water bottle to dry completely before using again.
