Pros
  • Carving ability
    - stiff, and responsive, amazing in the powder and flying down the groomers (progressive sidecut gives riders a lighter board that responds to your every move)
  • Well Balanced
    - it floats like nothing else out there
    - the board can be a little unstable on the icy crud (but only on ice and at low speeds)
    - I was amazed at how well I could climb. Steeper parts actually felt easier, especially with the heel bar raised
  • Splitting
    - have had no problems converting to skis and back
    - storing them and changing the binding positions can sometimes feel a little long when it's -25 to -30 C
Cons

  • Dings easily
    - a board that comes in at roughly a grand, it racks up dings, dents and nicks rather easily, especially on the top sheet
  • Heavy
    - due to its weight its hard to generate pop (don't worry it'll still float)
Best Uses

  • Backcountry
  • All Mountain
  • Powder
  • Freeriding

surfing on the ice and flies carrying a stable board, hmmm... may be useful at low speeds and may find it easier if picked up at the heel bar, wonderful when we play the above :-)
